Latest Version Killed The Experience

I am a longtime subscriber via the IPad and the latest version is beyond frustrating. The app now takes forever to download an issue on a high speed internet connection. What used to take 1 minute or less now takes almost 5. Terrible when trying to download before catching a plane. And then when you click the restore purchases button the app crashes...and then when you try to relaunch it, it just keeps crashing and never opens again. The only way you can launch it is to delete the app completely and re download and relaunch it. But if you then click restore again you are put back into the crash spin cycle..smh very frustrating. The previous versions worked just fine. I feel this is a case of messing up a good thing just for the sake of making a change...smh

Really nice

Good app

This version is horrible!

If I just wanted to read a few select articles, I could go on the website. This update is an insult to all the people who have been loyal subscribers.

Truly horrible app, canceled my subscription.

The format is so bad now I almost cant believe someone designed this. Its totally unreadable. The whole magazine is in some kind of weird plain text format. Terrible reading experience. I actually just canceled my subscription.

Its worst than a rss feed

The new version of the app is horrible. Its poorly designed, the articles lost the look and feel and you cant browse through the magazine anymore. Ive just canceled my subscription.

Very hard to read

Cant change font size. No organization. Seems to be missing articles from the magazine.

Horrible

Hasnt updated to the current magazine. I contacted them and they said not their problem. Call Forbes. We just sold you the app. Asked Forbes why they arent updating. Ok. Called Forbes. Said app people problem. Call iTunes. What????? Im done.

I would give zero stars if I could

I am not able to restore the purchases.

Just a copy of the print magazine.

This edition offers nothing beyond the print magazine, just the same scanned pages with all the ads and clutter. This company couldnt even make the effort to reformat the content for the iPad like Harvard Business Review did. Disappointing, expected more from Forbes.

Is this a joke??

Horrible app. The magazine is essentially a PDF scanned copy...not interactive like say a Time magazine. And to top it all off, print subscribers have to pay extra for this "scanned" copy?? Just horrible all around.

Sept 30 update

Installed sept 30 update and now cant access magazine

Forbes digital magazine

Purchased a year digital subscription from I-tunes. Couldnt log in without an account number which after 4 days, neither Apple support or Forbes could give me one. Each firm said that Id have to contact the other firm - so in the end neither were of any help. What an absolute pathetic way to do business. Apple support did promise a refund, but both companies lost and I wont try to purchase any other mags fromI-Tunes in the future. R. Radke

Why

This is the most poorly designed app Ive ever seen. Its difficult to navigate, and has complicated and unnecessary features

Fire your programmers forbes

This is the most overbuilt poorly executed app Ive ever experienced. It couldnt be less intuitive and overrun with way too many unnecessary features. Steve jobs would be rolling in his grave if he knew that such a cluster existed on his App Store. Which is a shame because I really want to read the great forbes content, but am faced with an explosion of unsavory seizure inducing features every time I blink. Fire your programmers

Great Magazine, Terrible App

Forbes is truly a great magazine. Its unfortunate that its iPad reading experience is one of the worst of any magazine app out there. Navigating and seeing the text of some articles can be really tedious. This app is a couple of notches above reading an online PDF. And, on some pages, an online PDF would be preferable. Surprising coming from such a top rate organization. Forbes could learn a lot from the Wired iPad app. John W

Better buy paper edition. Reading content in it is almost impossible and very frustrating

Touch gestures - even on iPhone 5s - work different way than in other applications. It looks like they are scanning the paper edition and then you have to pinch to be able to read text, but when you do it, sharing options are “enabling” themselves - so it’s not possible to go to the next page. So what’s is the point of buying app if you can’t use it?

Forbes is full of sh.. I mean ads.

31 first pages of 117 just advertising. Then couple of pages text, and 3 pages of advertising again! You are too greedy, Forbes! Sick of it.

Cannot login

The app is great but please make it possible to login. It just says " Great you are logged in, now "close" the window. But the close button does not work Other than that the app will be worth 5 stars. Please fix it!!!!

No free access without subscription

Very disappointing. 25% of my screen was blocked by a "free preview" count down timer. I couldnt even preview content. Removed immediately.

No way should you pay if you are a print subscriber?!
